Frequently Asked Questions
What is your turnaround time?
For portraits my turnaround time is typically two weeks & for weddings my turnaround time is 4-6 weeks.
I promise to deliver a preview of your images (usually five or so images) within 24 hours of our session end time. That way you have some images to hold you over & share asap!
Can you help with posing/feeling comfy in front of the camera?
YES & YES! I always start off my sessions or weddings by chatting and going through desires, worries, posing, and letting us get to know each other a little so that things feel more comfortable when I pull out the camera. I will be talking with you the whole time throughout your shoot (I mean the whole time, you might have to learn to ignore me by the end) and I’ll keep checking in with your to see how you’re feeling if you express you’re feeling nervous.
How can I order prints?
I use SmugMug as my image hosting website. In your gallery, you will have the option to purchase a variety of different prints that are shipped directly to you! I’m happy to help with questions or to give advice on products or styles I like. I order all of my prints through SmugMug and stand by them 100%.
Can you teach me how to x/y/z?
Maybe! I coach photographers on posing, talking with clients, and organization. I also teach Lightroom Classic & Lightroom CC, as well as camera basics/more than basics. I’m happy to discuss what you want to learn, and we can try and make that happen. For information on my education pricing, please below!
Can you edit my x/y/z?
Basic edits––including color correction, cropping, & basic enhancements––are included in every package. If you’re looking for major edits, I’ll likely outsource them (e.g., major hair changes, glam make-up edits, body modifications, or other requests that are edit intensive). I have less experience with these sorts of edits and I want to make sure that you love your result, so I’ll hire someone to make that happen for you! We can discuss the pricing depending on types of edits needed, feel free to send a message to find out!
Do you provide raw fileS?
I do not. I like to think of RAW files to a photographer like an ingredient to a chef. If you taste an amazing risotto at a restaurant and purchase it, you aren’t purchasing the arborio rice, onions, oil, etc. You want the risotto. Delivering beautiful images is about the whole process, from chatting in the beginning, to timeline creation, to posing, to photographing, to editing! A client chooses me for a certain look, and RAW files are only a part of the recipe for that look.
